The Troll Hurt My Feelings.

  1. Out of the frying pan into the fire? Oh my God! :-(
Are rudeness and arrogance occupational diseases by vet practice owners? Perhaps you should pretend to be an innocent little white kitten - or a Machairodontinae would be more appropriate?

  2. Yeah, I know how to pick them huh, Kolytyi? NO, most practice owners are just awesome! I just have a knack :) But I have a good feeling and will not give up until I find a good match for my ideals!

Haha, yeah, that would be good. I had to look up what a Machairodontinae is - awesome! grr :)

  3. When my boss said he hated payday--that it was the worst 2 days of the month I told him he should be proud to pay the people that work for him. If it wasn't for his staff he would have to do everything himself and would not have nearly the successful business he has.

I still have my job :) and he has never again complained --in my presence--about payday.

  4. Sounds as though you gave him the right perspective! Maybe he really does see pay day differently now!

  5. So is this troll the person we talked about at length at that one lunch back in the day?

    1. Yes! You recognized the phrase, huh? :) I am not used to being sworn at...I guess the surprise and ridiculousness of it stuck with me!

  6. I like 'todayithink''s idea!! Imagine how much more work the Troll would do if you weren't there?!

And if that doesn't work, just growl at the Troll, that's what I'd do!! Tee Hee

    Have a fun day,

    Your pal Snoopy :)

  7. When ever someone like that is mean to me, I try to think about how exhausting it must be to be that unhappy all the time. I mean really? What a terrible way to live life. I usually end up feeling good that I am so awesome and happy most of the time, instead of sad that they are a jerk.

    1. THAT is a very good attitude! I try to do that too - at least I can walk away, the Troll cannot walk away from itself. AND you ARE so awesome!

  8. The Troll was not only mean but it is simply silly to hurt his colleague right at the beginning of her employment. It might be the case that you will be the best vet in his practice ever - he cannot know it yet. He seems to have bad experiences with your predecessors - but why does not he give you a chance? Perhaps he will realise that you are a good vet and revise his attitude towards you.
It is also important whether there will be financial and ethical issues raised as it was the case with Dr. Asshat.

    1. All true Kolytyi! Turns out the Troll was not willing to see whether I was a good vet and I was not willing to stay and work so hard for a mediocre situation. All is well that ends well though!

    1. Oo yeah! But the Troll and Porcupine are BFF's, so that will be difficult! Even better though - I left them together and moved on - ha!
